How is an off-grid system calculated?

In an off-grid system, an inaccurate load estimate can directly cause an outage. Every appliance's power, daily operating time, starting current, seasonal use and concurrency must be listed. PV and battery capacity are then modelled against the required service level and local solar resource.

Winter and summer yields differ. For year-round operation, the weakest production period, permitted battery discharge and consecutive low-sun days are considered. A generator or another backup source can be integrated when required.

Operation and maintenance plan

Off-grid users must monitor their energy budget. Remote monitoring tracks production, battery state of charge, loads and alarms. Unexpected load growth or shading can then be detected before availability is affected.

Maintenance covers module cleaning, connection checks, protection devices, battery conditions and software updates. Where site access is difficult, spare-parts and intervention planning should be agreed before installation.

Frequently asked questions

Does off-grid solar work in winter?

It can when correctly sized, but winter irradiation, load discipline and required autonomy must be included. Some applications need a backup source.

Can an existing generator be integrated?

Integration is possible after checking generator voltage and frequency quality, automatic-start support and inverter compatibility.

Important notice

Pre-analysis is an estimate based on system type, location and consumption assumptions. A binding quote follows survey and engineering. KVKK/privacy consent is required to submit the form.
